From January to August 2021, I was the Co-Chair of the Corporate Partnerships Committee of SCWIST Ontario SIG

As of September 2025, I am the Vice-Chair of the Canada Chapter of the MCAA, a vibrant new community for Marie Curie fellows and alumni based in Canada that I helped co-found.
From September 2025 to October 2026, I am part of the Portuguese Citizen Commission 'Os 230' focused on proposing legislative changes in Portugal related to Environment and Energy.
From January 2018 to January 2020, I was the Secretary of the Board of Directors of the Society for Conservation Biology - Europe Section

From April to October 2016, I volunteered at the Toronto Wildlife Centre once a week in the Nursing Department. My job consisted mainly of feeding baby animals, mostly squirrels and chipmunks, but also any other species that came our way!
